The Taste of Hate”

Hate is a fire that burns inward,
a blade turned toward the soul.
It wears t,he mask of strength,
but walks with a limp—
dragging behind the weight of wounds
never spoken….loud.

It promises justice,
but delivers isolation.
A bitter feast,
served cold to no one but yourself.

To hate is to drink poison
and wait for the world to fall.
But the world keeps spinning,
unmoved by your ache,
while you dissolve
in the silence of your own fury.

Let it go.
Not for them—
but for the part of you
still soft enough to heal.

  1. Well done and full of wisdom, Jason. The world wants us to hate, becuase it enslaves us. I love the image for your piece, too, it’s great! 🙂
